TIR NA NOG, The Ethereal Dyu Premiere in MadPea Art Festival

Once upon a time, in the World After Seas, Niska, Goddess of Water, fell in love into an impossible romance with ethereal Dyu, God of Elements. What will you do if you where them? Will you challenge the Moon?

It’s our pleasure to invite you today to TIR NA NOG, The Ethereal Dyu, our special collage for the MadPea Art Festival in Second Life, a première of what you will see in LEA10. What you see here is a part of a scene of TIR NA NOG: As the God of Elements, Dyu balance the Gods of Fire, Air, Earth and Water keeping them in harmony. One day, Niska discovers his secret temple by serendipity through a coralline hood and she felt for fist time what’s love.

Time: Saturday at 2pm PMT, starting with Jordan Reyne live in concert

“Tir Na Nog” multimedia and CG art installation opens its portal gate in Galerie Artemis next tuesday

Tir Na Nog intivation to opening in Artemis

“You are heartly invited to the opening of the exhibition Morlita Quan and Noke Yuitza at the Artemis Gallery”, Duna Gant, CEO of Galerie Artemis.

Thunders and lightnings cross the dark gray sky when the storm rises the ship and breaks it as a nut. Men scream while waves eats them, in a blue hell of salt and water. But sometimes, if the Gods are pleased, the wild sea embrace the castaway in a peaceful hug to deep bottom of its bowels, where the cave is. Only the God of Water, Niska “The Mermaid”, can judge if the soul of a human being is worthy to cross the cave and find the portal gate to Tir Na Nog, the sacred land beyond the sea where the Gods of the Elements live…

Aloha castaway, I’m Niamh, the cyclop fish, “The Storyteller”. If your steps had drive you in front of me, it means that you are blessed by Niska and you can cross this gate. But be ready, cause my scales are telling me that soon something terrible is going to happen… And my scales never lie…

Tir Na Nog (Act I, introduction scene) in Artemis Gallery

It’s a pleasure for Morlita and myself to invite you to come to the opening of Tir Na Nog (Act I, introduction scene) next tuesday at Artemis Gallery in Second Life. This installation in Artemis is the introduction chapter to our under construction CG cyberartistic project in LEA10. In Artemis Gallery we have the opportunity to show what Tir Na Nog will be and share it with you. We have transmuted the gallery into a cave under the sea. The structure of the gallery remains, but now is covered with some sea cyber-fauna and flora.

The chapter talks about the cave as a dimensions crossing, from our land to a magic island where the Gods of the Elements balance our world. In this part of the story the visitor, muted into the character of a castaway, needs to follow the path through the cave and introduce itself to Niamh to get Niska’s blessing to cross the gate.

Day: 16/ 04/ 2013
Time: 22.00h UCT (2.00 pm Second Life time, 23.00h Spain)
Location: Galerie Artemis in Second Life

What’s Tir Na Nog cyberart installation?

Tir Na Nog will be a surrealistic New Media Art installation based on ancient celtic culture, myths and history, mixed in a cyber renaissance concept, where we’ll create a new legend inspired in an impossible romance between the ethereal Dyu and the magic Niska.

It’s an immersive multimedia and CG art installation experience rendered in real-time using the 3D virtual world environment of Second Life, thanks to a grant for virtual land for media artists from Linden Endowment for the Arts (LEA) non-profits.

Some recommendations to follow to visit Tir Na Nog in Artemis

You need an avatar in Second Life to visit this installation in real-time. You can download Second Life here.

This installation uses ambient music and sounds, so please turn “sounds sim” and set “environment settings” in “Midnight”.

The tour is unidirectional. If you follow the arrows you will find the different levels:

  1. The tunnel
  2. The enter to the cave (where you can take the free gift)
  3. The octopus. Go up the stairs to the octopus level and take the teleport on the octopus eye.
  4. Niamh, the “Storyteller”. The goal: Touch the eye of the cyclops fish to speak with him. There are also 4 chairs situated around the “Storyteller” to wait to listen Niamh’s introduction. If you want to go back to the enter, just take the “Multi Teleport” located near the fish

We would like to thank Duna Gant for invite to us to do this part of our project in Artemis, and we hope you enjoy!

Please, subscribe to our blog in Blogger to follow Tir Na Nog project.

“Tears in Rain”, Singularity Tribe electronic music podcast mixed by ALEXI

“Peace, love, unity…”

When Dj Alexi Ayres ask me if I would like to do the cover art for the last Singularity Tribe podcast using my Tears in Rain graphics, I didn’t know how much this immersive electronica session, inspired in cyberpunk culture, fits and follows the evolution of the original story, recreating a cyberlandscape that born and dies at the rhythm of dropping words as “replicant”, “transhumanism”, “technohuman”, “cyber-renaissance”, … words that I’ve try to reflect in this cover art using Bruna Husky’s Memory Fragment 16 “The Beauty” (from Rosa Montero‘s book Tears in Rain, which title is a tribute to Blade Runner film).

Enjoy it!
